KOMA CALL – Comics from Catalogue 2019

On the occasion of the fifth jubilee of the International Comics Festival KOMA, an open call was announced – create comics devoted to this year’s special issue of the catalogue. In order to take part in this small anniversary, we contacted comic artists, illustrators and visual artists that figured significantly in the past four years of the festival. A theme assigned was simple...KOMA. The festival is known for its openness to embrace new ideas and artistic innovation. That is why in this case the interpretation of the topic had no limitations. Visual approach, technique selected and artistic language were fully in author’s hands. What are then different ways to express this topic?
