Jan Nefastis will introduce his new title from the Trystero publishing house Enid and Rebecca are just two ordinary teenage girls at the end of puberty searching for their own style and place in this world. Wandering around the periphery, taking a hard look at the world and making cynical remarks about everything and everyone, they try hard to behave as adults while being nostalgic about their own childhood. The main question is: will their friendship overcome the transition to adulthood?
Dead World by Daniel Clowes is a key work of American independent comics. The piece is recognized for its outright expression of teenagers’ strains, confusions and hesitations and the story was translated into thirteen languages and made into a movie Ghost World by director Terry Zwigoff starring Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson and Steve Buscemi.
